Students minoring in Spanish must complete 18 units with a grade equivalent of 2.00 or higher in each course. 12 units must be taken at the upper (300-400) level, 6 of which must be completed at Towson University. Students may transfer up to 6 units toward the minor.

Native speakers of Spanish may earn up to 6 units for SPAN 301 and/or SPAN 302 by taking the Departmental Challenge Exam.

SPAN 201 and SPAN 202 may be applied to the minor; however, students who have already completed a course at the 300-level may not register for lower-level courses.
