Consistently ranked as one of the best programs of its kind in the world, our Master of Sport Management and Leadership (MSML) program prepares students to be effective managers and leaders in sport; to critique sports’ social, historical, and cultural influences; and to develop innovative solutions to critical problems in today’s multi-faceted sport industry.

SportsBusiness, a global consulting and analysis firm which puts out a leading trade publication in the field, in 2023 again ranked the MSML program the best in Canada. The ranking takes stock of how our graduates are faring in the job market, and how they rate their experience at UWindsor. Our grads gave us a grade of more than 97 per cent in the areas of industry networks and professional mentorship, with 86 per cent of them finding work in their field within 12 months of graduation.

Previous 4-Year Undergraduate Degree

Applicants must have:

A 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management and Leadership, or related field
A minimum cumulative GPA of 70% or better in the final two years of study (full-time equivalent)
Two academic letters of reference (e.g., course instructor)
The MSML Internship Supplementary Admissions Form

English Proficiency

All test scores are valid for 2 years from the date the test was taken. Tests must be valid at the beginning of the term in which a student starts their program.

Pathway Program
