    Supporting Learning for Practice

    About

    The Supporting Learning for Practice module aims to encourage you to engage with the facilitation of learning in practice. The module will equip you to become a practice assessor under the new NMC guidelines.

    During the course you will explore the theories, principles and concepts related to learning, teaching and assessment to facilitate learning in practice.

    • Evaluate your learning environment using the best evidence available.
    • Theories and principles of learning, teaching and assessment.
    • Learning, teaching and assessment strategies to support effective learning in practice.
    • Continuing professional development needs in order to fulfil the role of an educator.

    Learning Methods

    This module runs over 12 weeks.The content will be provided online onCampusMoodle. In addition, you will be expected to attend three synchronous teaching mornings. We also provide drop-in online support sessions.

    Staff delivering on this course

    The content will be delivered by experienced academics who hold registrations with the NMC.

    Independent Study

    You are expected to undertake approximately12.5 hours per week of independent study.

    Assessment

    Assessment is a written assignment -2500 words.

    English Program Requirements

    Most undergraduate courses require an IELTS score of 6.0, with a minimum of 5.5 in each area. Some courses require a higher English language score. Always check the relevant course page and our English Language Requirements page before applying.
