    About

    This course is designed to provide you with the necessary skills and knowledge to start a career in amenity horticulture and beyond.

    The course provides ample opportunity to develop horticultural skills like soft and hard landscaping, plant production and plant identification. It also develops soft and interpersonal skills, such as leadership and establishing working relationships. 

    You will be actively involved in carrying out plant production and grounds maintenance, and engage in projects on campus and within the local community.

    This course covers a wide range of topics, including establishing and maintaining plants, both indoors and out. You'll develop personal skills, learn about health and safety, machine maintenance and use.

    Of course you'll also learn how to identify and solve plant health problems, how to manage soils and growing media and you'll gain plenty of practice with hard and soft landscaping projects.
