About

The Graduate Certificate in Systems Engineering is intended for working professionals who wish to obtain knowledge and training in Systems Engineering as needed in industries for career advancement, preparation for the INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) program as well as attracting students that have completed the certificate and wish to apply for admission to the regular MS degree that is available through the Distance Learning program in the Systems and Industrial Engineering Department. This program is also offered online.

Admissions Requirements

A Bachelor's degree from an institution recognized by the UA. Students who do not have a degree equivalent to the UA Bachelor of Science degree in Systems & Industrial Engineering may be admitted

into the graduate certificate program, but may be required to complete some undergraduate deficiency courses prior to enrolling in graduate courses.

You must have a 3.0 or higher GPA in your undergraduate degree or your last 60 units of your undergraduate degree.

The graduate application can be found at www.grad.arizona.edu. ; You must upload a letter of intent and unofficial transcripts. Three letters of recommendation are also required. If applying for funding, GRE scores must be submitted. If you are an international student, a TOEFL score is also required.

Standardized Tests

We do not require the GRE for the Certificate program.

International applicants to Arizona Online campus, Global Direct campus, or a Global Microcampus should choose the Distance Learner (DL) visa type in their Application Profile.
International applicants to the Main campus must currently hold a US visa that permits incidental study.
Please verify your visa eligibility with International Student Services before applying. The application fee is non-refundable and will not be refunded if your visa status is not eligible.
Applicants must meet all Graduate College minimum admission requirements, including English proficiency.
Applicants should be prepared to submit copies of their visa documents, additional transcripts, or degree documentation if requested.
