Our Graduate Endorsement (GE) in Teacher of Students with Disabilities appeals to busy teaching professionals who hold a standard instructional certificate or CEAS and are pursuing the Teacher of Students with Disabilities endorsement in New Jersey. Our part-time, online program provides advanced studies that focus on the educational, psychological and sociological needs of children and youth with disabilities.

This program consists of the first 21 credits of the M.A. in Special Education, and is ideal if you require the certification in Teacher of Students with Disabilities and may be interested in completing their Master's degree at a later date.

Teachers in the state of New Jersey may apply to the Graduate Endorsement in Teacher of Students with Disabilities Online program through the New Jersey Teacher Outreach Program (NJTOP®). For more information about NJTOP, click here.

Entry Requirements

Application fee: $65 (USD) non-refundable

College Transcript and Copy of Original Degree – If you have completed more than one degree, all academic credentials should be submitted. Additionally, if your document is not translated to English a certified English translation is required.
Standardized English language test score – a TOEFL minimum score of 70, IELTS minimum score of 6.0, PTE minimum score of 50 or Duolingo test minimum score of 120 for traditional admissions.

Professional resume/CV
Recommendations – a minimum of 2 are required for Master’s programs, and a minimum of 3 are required for Doctoral (Ph.D.) programs.
Statement of professional objectives – Provide reasons for pursuing the program applied. Describe how you will use this program to reach your career goes, and educational goals beyond the master’s level if applicable. Students should also identify personal qualities that they want the committee to see in them, such as leadership, concerns for others, talent, etc.
You can upload the required documents to your application portal once you submit your application. Additional items may be required depending on the program applied.
