Teaching English (Literacy) in Education and Training

It is designed for trainees who already hold a teaching qualification and would like to specialise further.

This is an award of Teesside University delivered at Stockton Riverside College (01642 865506).

Teaching and learning includes lectures, workshops and seminars. Assessment includes an individual learning portfolio, essays, a case study, reports, attendance at a one day subject specialist fair, observations of four teaching sessions and completion of at least 50 hours of literacy teaching.

Community college diploma with 65% minimum

Or, holders of a a Tawjihi 65%+ average plus a recognised foundation programme

Or, holders of the International Baccalaureate Diploma with 27 points or more will be considered for direct admission to Bachelor degree courses

This course is a continuing professional development award for adult literacy teachers working in education and training. Completion of this award can contribute to you obtaining Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) status.
