    Introducing BVM&S Veterinary Medicine (Graduate Entry Programme - 4-year programme)

    The Graduate Entry Programme (GEP) is a four-year programme. It allows graduates with a relevant first degree in a biological or animal science subject to attain a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery (BVM&S) degree and register as a veterinary surgeon.

    Graduation from this programme will make you eligible for registration with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS), as well as international accrediting bodies. You will be able to practice veterinary medicine in the UK and overseas.

    Requirements

    Entry Requirements

    Undergraduate entry requirements for applicants from Saudi Arabia.

    Applicants from Saudi Arabia would be required to meet our minimum requirements in one of the following qualifications:

    • A Levels
    • International Baccalaureate
    • US qualifications

    Applicants with the Tawjihiyya (Secondary School Certificate) will usually be required to complete a foundation year.

    Foundation year

    Each course may have further specific entry requirements. All applicants must meet these requirements. Staff in the Admissions Offices will be able to provide further guidance.

    All applicants are required to demonstrate a level of English language competency, regardless of their nationality or country of residence. These requirements are listed by programme.

    Career

    This programme will train and prepare you for a career as a veterinary practitioner, either in general practice or in a specialised field of practice, such as:

    • equine
    • exotic animal

    It also prepares you for further training in a specialised clinical field.

    Our school incorporates the Roslin Institute. This, along with the Moredun Research Institute and Scotland's Rural College, makes up the Easter Bush Research Consortium. Together, we have one of the world's highest concentrations of animal scientists.
