About Jadara University in Jordan
Jadara University is a private academic institution named after the ancient city of Umm Qais. It is located on the western edge of the Hauran plains, on a total area estimated at about two hundred dunams, about 20 km southeast of the city of Irbid, the capital of the North, on the international road between Damascus and Amman. At the crossroads of major roads linking this site to the centers of the governorates of Irbid, Jerash, Ajloun, and Mafraq.
It was established on the initiative of an elite group of academics, in line with the visions of His Majesty King Abdullah II, son of Al-Hussein the Great, in advancement and development, and in response to the need of the northern region for a qualitative university institution. It was Jadara University for Postgraduate Studies, which was accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in 2005, where the university was completed. Accreditation requirements, and obtained the final license.
Teaching at the university began at the beginning of the academic year (2006/2007 AD), and it received postgraduate students on the first of October of the academic year (2006/2007 AD) in four colleges, which are the College of Literary and Linguistic Studies with specializations in Arabic Language and Literature, English Language and Literature, and the College of Studies. Educational studies, with specializations in educational administration, measurement and evaluation, and the College of Legal Studies, which includes specializations in public law and private law, and the College of Economic and Administrative Studies, specializing in accounting.
In the year (2007), and at the generous initiative of the university’s presidency and its Board of Trustees, the university submitted a request to the Ministry of Higher Education for approval to offer bachelor’s degree programmes, and the Higher Education Council agreed, so that the university would begin offering three specializations at the bachelor’s level at the beginning of the second semester of the academic year (2007). /2008 AD), in the specializations of: English Language and Literature, Special Education, and Educational Technology, in accordance with the requirements set by the Higher Education Council. The Higher Education Council also approved changing the name of the university to become Jadara University instead of Jadara University for Postgraduate Studies, so that this new name fits with Open bachelor's programs.
Jadara University was launched in accordance with the vision of its governing councils by continuing to develop new specializations according to the actual need of the labor market and the local community, and it is still paving this path until now, with the energy and determination of the administration of the university presidency, represented by its president and its employees, its board of trustees, and its body of directors.

Requirements for Jadara University in Jordan
Conditions and procedures for accepting non-Jordanian students (Bachelor's)
Non-Jordanian students may be accepted according to the following principles and criteria:
- The high school branch is compatible with the major that the student wishes to join.
- Students are excluded from the minimum average according to their non-Jordanian nationality and not the country in which the high school diploma was obtained.
- Arabic certificates are authenticated for the purposes of accreditation by the university from the following authorities:
- The Ministry of Education in the country from which the secondary certificate was issued.
- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the country from which the secondary school certificate was issued.
- The Jordanian Embassy in the country from which the certificate was issued or the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. (Address: Amman, Jabal Amman, First Circle, opposite the Saudi Consulate)
- Jordanian Ministry of Education. (Address: Amman, Abdali, near the National Assembly and the Mosque of the Martyr King Abdullah I)
- Students who have a non-Arab high school diploma or a high school certificate that is not subject to ministerial exams (secondary exams issued by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) shall have their certificates equalized by the Jordanian Ministry of Education (address: Amman, Abdali, near the Council of Nation and the Martyr King Abdullah I Mosque) before applying to the university.
Admission of non-Jordanian students (Bachelor's degree) Non-Jordanian students may be accepted according to the principles and standards referred to, and non-Jordanian students may be excluded from the GPA requirements in the law and engineering specializations as follows:
- The minimum secondary school GPA required for the College of Engineering and Pharmacy majors is 65%
- Medical analysis specialization 55%
- The rest of the specialties are 50%.
