Accredited programme
This degree programme is accredited by the Joint Board of Moderators (JBM) comprising of the Institution of Civil Engineers, Institution of Structural Engineers, Institute of Highway Engineers, the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation and the Permanent Way Institution on behalf of the Engineering Council, as meeting the academic requirement for Further Learning for registration as a Chartered Engineer (CEng).

The course starts by studying how general managerial aspect of an organization can be enhanced, before directing you towards pathway-specific engineering subjects.

Course Structure
This 1 year full-time programme teaches research-led systems management skills that are sought after in both the civil engineering and building industries. The course can also be taken over 2-3 years part-time.
In term one you'll develop a firm base of general knowledge and techniques for further specialised management study. Delivered by leading academics in Birmingham Business School, the management content is research led, drawing on the expertise and reputation of the Business School to help deliver a high quality experience.
Topics include strategy, innovation, marketing, organisational behaviour and financial management.
