    About

If you’ve already started taking steps towards an exciting, impactful career in finance and investment, this program is the ideal opportunity to take your know-how to even greater heights.

    MAKE YOUR NEXT MOVE

In as little as one year (based on your relevant experience), you’ll have the opportunity to study the latest theories, models and practices that are influencing the sector. You will deepen your understanding of areas like global financial markets, funds management, corporate finance, financial modelling and risk, to give you a clearer sense of how you can actively shape the global money markets in your own career.

The course will sharpen your understanding of financial markets and instruments, valuation, trading and risk management, as well as ethics, environmental and corporate social responsibility. You’ll also have the chance to explore in-depth investment banking, asset management and financial technology and sustainability – while drawing on a quantitative skillset and leveraging machine learning and big data. Practical opportunities to apply your knowledge are an important aspect of the program too. You will actively apply theories and models using industry-grade programming language, Python and through trading simulation programs run at Monash STARLab.

    ELEVATE YOUR EXPERTISE

By the time you complete your studies, you’ll have fine-tuned your financial acumen, equipped not just with knowledge but with a network that extends beyond the classroom. You will gain a critical edge in your career building on the opportunities to make professional progress – and make more informed decisions to positively impact the world’s financial markets. The Master of Advanced Finance is also recognised by the CFA Institute, making it an ideal next step towards your CFA exams.

The Master of Advanced Finance is not just a degree; it's your passport to a finance future where you actively shape the industry.
