    What you will gain

    You'll develop an understanding of the roles that PR, advertising and branding play across society. You'll also build a portfolio of work by planning and implementing campaigns, producing adverts and other kinds of promotional content for both traditional and online channels.

    IELTS both online and paper-based exams accepted. Candidates can also re-sit a single component within 60 days of taking their test through IELTS OneSkill. MDX will accept certificates with a OneSKill retake component

    6.5 (with 6.0 in each component); *MA Scriptwriting and MA Novel Writing (DE)– must have minimum

    How can our BA Advertising, Public Relations and Branding support your career?

    By the end of this course, you will have developed knowledge and skills that are valuable across the creative industries, most specifically in advertising, public relations, brand strategy/consultancy and marketing.

    You may go on to become self-employed and run your own business, agency or start-up, or go on to postgraduate study in a related area of media communications, media management and marketing.

    We see significant numbers of our students graduating into professional APRB-related fields and developing quickly to work in the following roles: global brand manager, social media specialist/manager, PR manager, marketing specialist, account/client services manager, copywriter, campaigns manager, creative advertising manager, press officer, digital marketing manager, e-commerce manager, web content developer or in the following sectors, editorial services, events & exhibitions production management or project management.

    Some students pursue their academic studies by doing a master at MDX, or at other UK and international HE institutions.

    We have students who are or become freelancers and influencers in the advertising, public relation and branding sectors, or develop their own businesses, including several Instagram influencers with more than 300k followers.

    The optional module in your second year, Work Placement in the Creative Industries, will help you to gain substantial experience in your chosen field.

    The third-year module, Professional Identity and Entrepreneurship, is designed to support you in refining your CVs, enhancing job search strategies, improving interviewing skills, and honing other essential professional competencies.
