    About

    Our Affective Disorders course has been created for a broad spectrum of students and mental health professionals who are interested in specialist training from world-class experts. You will study all aspects of affective disorders, ranging from their characterisation and assessment to the challenges of treating these debilitating conditions.

    Entry Requirements

    Postgraduate taught courses

    Applicants who have completed a Bachelor degree from a recognised institution in Jordan will need to demonstrate the following grades to be considered for a Postgraduate course at King's:

    UK degree classification Jordanian equivalency

    High 2:1 Class Bachelor (Honours) degree

    (equivalent to 65% overall)

    GPA of 3.5 out of 4.0

    Overall score of 80%

    2:1 Class Bachelor (Honours) degree

    GPA of 3.3 out of 4.0

    Overall score of 75%

    High 2:2 Class Bachelor (Honours) degree

    GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0

    Overall score of 70%

    Postgraduate research courses

    A Master's degree from a recognised university with high grades considered for programmes requiring a UK Master's degree.

    English Program Requirements

    To study at King's, it is essential that you can communicate effectively in English and are able to do so in an academic environment. You are usually required to provide certification of your competence in English before starting your studies.

    Upon completion, you will have a solid understanding of the concepts, theories and practicalities that are relevant to affective disorders. You may go on to enhanced careers in mental health as clinicians and/or policy makers, conduct further full-time study in an academic research environment (e.g. PhD) or in taught clinical courses (e.g. Doctorate in Clinical Psychology), gain employment in an academic, clinical or pharmaceutical organisation. You may also enter scientific publishing.
