Our master’s takes your automotive engineering knowledge to the next level. It focuses on advanced propulsion systems and related vehicle design challenges to prepare you for working in a dynamic and changing industry. You’ll develop systems-thinking approaches to understand the breadth of challenges faced in the sector such as moral, ethical and sustainability. A mix of theory and technical learning allows you to use your analytical skills, innovation and creativity.

We'll set a topical automotive theme at the start of the course that will inform your studies. This brings the content of subject-based units to life, as well as reflecting professional industry practice. It also gives you the benefit of a personalised learning pathway.

To help prepare you to work in an increasingly digital-based industry, you’ll develop specialist skills in modelling, testing and product development. And you’ll learn how simulation and testing go hand-in-hand to enable rapid product development cycles that help us to achieve zero-impact mobility.
