About this course
Our BA in Business Management gives you a strong base of knowledge while letting you explore areas that you might want to specialise in.
You’ll build a solid foundation through a series of topics such as business ecosystems, marketing, world economy, and operations and supply chains, while also developing the hands-on experience that employers look for.
This is because our degrees offer our unique Authentic Business Learning (ABL) approach. Each year you’ll take part in projects and collaborations with businesses. It’s our unique way of putting you – and your career – at the forefront of everything we do.
You could find yourself working with a local business to solve a problem; collaborating with Team GB; on a placement with the likes of BMW, Disney, Sony or Jaguar Land Rover; or even spending a year or a semester studying abroad at one of our partner institutions around the world.
And all of this combined means you’ll be treated like a future business professional from day one as you develop the skills and experience to stay up-to-date in the unpredictable, dynamic business world.
You don't do exams at work, so why do them at university? As the birthplace of Authentic Business Learning, we take a different approach and focus on giving you the skills and experience to succeed.
Starting in your first year, you'll take part in live projects with real businesses. These form the basis of assessment alongside assignments, coursework and presentations, so your grades will be based on the tools you'll actually need when you graduate.
Each year, you’ll study modules worth 120 credits. Most modules are 20 credits but some are worth more. In these cases, you’ll study fewer modules. Some modules are compulsory, some are optional, so you can build a course that’s right for you.
