About this course
You’ll cover core marketing practices like branding, buyer behaviour and communications as well as the latest trends in digital, social and virtual marketing.
Plus, you’ll gain a rock-solid grounding in how to run a successful and sustainable business as a whole as part of a hands-on degree that prepares you for your future career.
From day one, you get to test your skills out in the real world through live business projects, placements, internships and more. Just like past students have for companies like Team GB, Pipers Crisps, Bosch, Tesco, Microsoft, IBM and McCain Foods. Or by helping SMEs with their challenges via our Business Clinic.
Our students have also been supported to achieve success in the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) national competition, The Pitch.
And as we’re accredited by the CIM, you’ll be eligible for student membership and you can get exemptions from professional qualifications, access to a wider marketing network and invitations to professional marketing events to develop your CV and stand out from your competitors.
You don't do exams at work, so why do them at university? As the birthplace of Authentic Business Learning, we take a different approach and focus on giving you the skills and experience to succeed.
Starting in your first year, you'll take part in live projects with real businesses. These form the basis of assessment alongside assignments, coursework and presentations, so your grades will be based on the tools you'll actually need when you graduate.
Each year, you’ll study modules worth 120 credits. Most modules are 20 credits but some are worth more. In these cases, you’ll study fewer modules. Some modules are compulsory, some are optional, so you can build a course that’s right for you.
