    Overview

    • As the only provider of Agricultural Engineering degrees in both Australia and New Zealand, UniSQ provides unique professional knowledge to make an impact with our Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Agricultural Engineering).
    • Linked to the UniSQ world-class research centre in Agricultural Engineering, and with emphasis on modern and sustainable engineering concepts, you will develop the skills to tackle complex agricultural problems and apply engineering solutions.
    • Your courses will connect engineering problems with the UN’s sustainable development goals to ensure your engineering practices have positive influences on society and the environment.
    • Explore plant and animal production systems, water supply and water distribution analysis, surveying, field design, and assessing engineering assets or processes to inform maintenance and advancement decisions.
    • All students come on campus to study a few hands-on, practical residential school courses, but otherwise you can choose to study the main course load online or on campus to suit your needs.
    • Project-based courses and 60 days of placements integrate your learning with industry to provide practical experience and to support your career development. For your final year research project you will have to opportunity to put your knowledge to the test in a project suited to your interests.

    Entry requirements

    To study this degree we assume you have sound knowledge in:

    • English (Units 3 & 4, C), and
    • Mathematical Methods (Units 3 & 4, C)

    We assume that your knowledge is equivalent to a grade C or higher in Units 3 and 4 at high school level (typically studied in Year 12). Find out more about assumed knowledge.

    Students who do not meet the necessary knowledge for Mathematical Methods can choose to study UniSQ Ready courses, as recommended on the assumed knowledge webpage, or enrol in ENM1500 Introductory Engineering Mathematics as one of their elective courses.

    • Recommended prior study: Physics (Units 3 & 4, C), or equivalent

    English language requirements

    You are required to meet the applicable English language requirements and this degree requires a minimum of IELTS 6.0 with a minimum 5.5 in each subscore. UniSQ also accepts other English language proficiency tests.

    If you don't meet the English language requirements, you can apply to study with our English language partner, the Union Institute of Language (UIL), or if you're a domestic student you can apply to study UniSQ Ready courses TPP0122 and TPP0123.

    English Program Requirements

    Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) allows students to gain credit (advanced standing) towards their course in recognition of skills and knowledge gained through work experience, life experience and/or formal training. Applicants are assessed on a case-by-case basis.
