Bachelor of Industrial Chemistry

About

Industrial Chemistry is a four-year program that incorporates traditional areas of physical, analytical, inorganic, and organic chemistry and directs it to solve chemical industries' problems . It aims to meet the challenges of a rapidly evolving society and respond to national aspirations. Students pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Chemistry are required to carry out a project in their final year under a lecturer's supervision. Industrial training is compulsory for all students. Industrial training provides students with the necessary practical exposure and skills and helps them become successful professional chemists in the future.

Career

Graduates have wide career prospects in both private and government sectors such as manufacturing and processing industries, industries related to petroleum, chemicals, ceramic, oleochemicals, polymer, food, electronics, the environmental, mining, pharmaceuticals and health-related industries, agriculture industries, government agencies, including forensic science, police, customs and patents, defense (army), education (secondary schools, colleges, and universities) and research, and areas related to biotechnology and nanotechnology as well as marketing. The degree also allows them to pursue postgraduate studies in chemistry and related areas
