What is mechatronics? Mechatronics engineering involves the synergy of electrical, computer and mechanical technologies that lead to new solutions to industrial problems. Students study a diverse range of courses. You'll cover technical design, automation, and operational performance of electromechanical systems. Mechatronics engineers work in industries such as defence, advanced manufacturing, mining and health.

Admission to our undergraduate degree programs usually requires successful completion of a senior secondary school qualification similar to the Higher School Certificate (HSC), the highest educational award in New South Wales schools.

In the application portal, you can enter the program you wish to study and upload relevant documents needed as part of your application. It is recommended you submit your application a minimum of 12 weeks before your intended semester of trimester start date.

Mechatronics engineers work in a wide range of industries. Roles are flexible and diverse. You may prefer hands-on fieldwork or design and development. This combined degree will deepen your technical skills and employment opportunities.
