About

Chemistry is a branch of science concerned with the synthesis, analysis, reactions and properties of molecules. The study of chemistry is traditionally broken up into five subdisciplines: analytical, inorganic, organic and physical chemistry, as well as biochemistry and stereochemistry.

The Chemistry major focuses on modern chemical principles and practice, including the synthesis and identification of substances. Chemistry’s application to environmental, health, materials and biological challenges form a key part of this major. You’ll learn how to apply chemistry principles and concepts, from its testable and contestable nature, to theoretical and practical problems and tasks.
