    Overview

    • Be at the forefront of engaging the visual arts in the wider community, as a way of capturing and reshaping our stories. The Bachelor of Visual Art aims to produce industry-ready graduates who are creative, innovative, adaptable and entrepreneurial.
    • Explore the future of visual art and its applications within evolving new employment opportunities in the 21st century such as health, design, new media, architecture, museum and gallery professions, and education
    • Choose to focus your studies by majoring in either Curation, Innovation and Visual Art, or Visual Art Studio Practice. Extend your studies by adding a minor from another discipline such as Film and TV or journalism.
    • Benefit from exhibiting at both UniSQ Toowoomba campus and the Toowoomba Regional Art Gallery when studying the Visual Art Studio Practice major. Experience a blended learning program of art ideas, curatorial practice, arts and cultural management, gallery studies and professional writing in the visual arts sector.

    Entry Requirements

    • Subject pre-requisite: English (Units 3 & 4, C) or equivalent

    To study this degree we also assume you have sound knowledge in:

    • General Mathematics

    Qualification Grade

    English language requirements

    You are required to satisfy the applicable English language requirements and this degree requires a minimum of IELTS 6.0 or equivalent. If you do not meet the English language requirements you may apply to study a University-approved English language program.

    Recognition of prior learning or work experience

    If you have previously studied in your home country, you may be eligible for recognition of prior learning to reduce the number of courses that you need to study to finish your program.

    English Program Requirements
