    Illinois Techs Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering/Master of Biomedical Imaging and Signals accelerated master's program allows students the unique opportunity to pursue advanced studies in biomedical imaging and signals while completing both degrees in as few as five years.

    Students will be equipped with the tools needed to make a difference in impactful careers within the biotechnical industry and health care. In addition, they will learn how data analysis and computer simulations can be used to generate functional images to understand an organ or tissue and provide greater insights for clinical assessments.

    Requirements

    Entry Requirements

    Students applying to the Accelerated Masters Program must have completed at least 60 credit hours with at least one full semester (12 credit hours) of applicable undergraduate study at the university.

    Students must be at least one full semester (12 credit hours) away from undergraduate degree completion in order to apply.

    Applicants are required to have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale; however, please consult individual departments for specific minimum GPA requirements.

    English Program Requirements

    International students who fit into any of the following categories will be considered to have met the requirement:

    • Residents of a country where English is the only official language and who is a native English speaker
    • Graduates of U.S. high schools
    • Completed the equivalent of Iowa State’s English 150 or 250 with a grade of B or better at an accredited U.S. 2 year or 4 year college or university.

    CONDITIONAL ADMISSION

    If you meet all admission requirements but do not meet our English proficiency requirements, Iowa State offers conditional admission to attend our Intensive English and Orientation Program (IEOP). If you would like to enroll in IEOP, on the application choose "I would like to enroll in Iowa State’s IEOP program before I begin the academic study.”
