Admissions Requirements Program Requirements (both concentrations): Minimum 2.75 overall grade point average on all undergraduate coursework previously completed Successful completion of all courses in Areas A-F with minimum grade of Câ€ in Area A and F courses As part of the application process for the teacher certification concentration, you must also complete or do the following: Take the GACE Program Admission Assessment (unless candidate meets one of the qualifications for exemption: SAT combined Evidence-Based Reading/Writing and Math score of 1080 or higher if taken July 2019 or after, or combined Verbal/Critical Reading or Evidence-Based Reading/Writing and Math score of 1000 if taken prior to July 2019; ACT combined English and Math score of 43 or higher; GRE combined Verbal and Quantitative score of 297 or higher). Take the Georgia Educator Ethics Assessment (360). English Program Requirements

For students required to show English Language Proficiency for summer 2020 and fall 2020, Georgia State accepts Duolingo English tests as one of the new English proficiency tests. To register for the test, please go to go.duolingo.com/applicants. The Duolingo English Test can be taken online from a computer with a camera. Certiﬁed results are available within two days and can be shared instantly with the university. For 2020-2021 admissions cycle, any changes on the admissions requirements will be updated on the website under the guidance from the University System of Georgia.
