Business & Management with Leisure & Tourism

How do we ensure businesses have a positive impact on the economy? How can you leverage opportunities in tourism? Study at Edge Hill to develop essential skills in business management while focusing on leisure and tourism.

During this BSc (Hons) Business & Management with Leisure & Tourism course, we'll explore the fundamentals of how businesses are structured and operate. As well as looking into areas like accounting, economics, marketing and business law, you'll also take in key areas of leisure and tourism. The planning and running of events will be explored. And you'll look into heritage management too.

The opportunity to work on live client projects, or to start your own business, will allow you to build vital industry contacts. You'll be directly involved in the challenges of managing people, finances and customers. And you'll explore real-world problems that face businesses in leisure and tourism.

When you study this degree, you'll also gain eligibility for Affiliate Member status of the Chartered Management Institute.

In Year 1 you'll study the fundamentals of business, management and economics. Explore exactly how businesses operate on a national and international level. We'll introduce you to accounting and statistics, and look at the vital role of marketing. You'll look at people and organisations, and learn how to manage operations effectively. Choose an additional module in a topic such as digital marketing, statistics for economics or business start-up.

International Foundation Programme

Students whose qualifications do not meet our general entrance or course requirements may need to take an International Foundation Programme to qualify for entry to an undergraduate degree programme.

Applicants should have completed the Thawjihiyah (Saudi High School)

Grade 80%+

Undergraduate Programmes

Applicants should have completed an appropriate pre-university programme required
OR
Successfully completed the first year in recognised Saudi Arabian University

GPA of 3.5 or 5.0 depending on course

International Baccalaureate

We are happy to accept students who have completed the IB qualification. We will use UCAS Tariff scores to assess a student’s suitability. Subject-specific requirements at Higher Level (HL) Grade 5 may apply. For clarity of entry requirements for the course you’re interested in, please contact the International Office.

Edge Hill’s institution code is EHU E42, and you should ensure that this is entered clearly on your application form, together with the code for the course you wish to apply for. The course codes are listed on the course pages of this website.

2. Via one of our agents or partners:

Our agent or partner will support you in making your application to Edge Hill University. Our agents and partners have had lots of experience helping people to apply to us and they will be able to guide you and make sure that you have included al the documents that we will need. Once you have submitted the application form and all the supporting documentation to our agent or partner they will send them to us.
