About

The increasing complexity of construction projects requires the continuous further training of those involved in construction. With the part-time, interdisciplinary Master's programme â€œConstruction Law and Construction Industryâ€, the Institute for Construction Management at Technical University of Darmstadt makes a decisive contribution to lifelong learning. The aim of this Master's programme is to combine application-oriented and practice-relevant specialisations with the latest research results.

Requirements

Entry Requirements

Applying with international qualifications (language requirements, application deadlines): International Admission. Requirements for admission to the Masters degree programme consist of 1. a degree in Engineering (B.Sc., B.Eng., Diplom), in Legal Studies in the area of construction law and construction industry or in related fields as e.g. architecture, economics, administration, civil engineering, or an equivalent degree; 2. at least two years of relevant professional experience. Admission to the Masters Degree programme may also depend on additional requirements. Specific degree entrance requirements may be found here and in the competences description.

English Program Requirements

You must pass the “Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang” (DSH-2) as evidence that your spoken and written command of the German language is adequate for Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes for which the language of instruction is German.

Participating in the DSH at the Studienkolleg is subject to charge.

Under the conditions of Big Data, Discourse Analysts are important complementary figures to Data Scientists, especially in commercial enterprises. The career opportunities for graduates are correspondingly positive in all occupational fields in which data is not only processed computationally, but also prepared linguistically in a target group-oriented manner, e.g. for strategy papers, reports, background dossiers or company reports. In concrete terms, the degree programme qualifies students for future occupations such as data journalism, marketing, market research, public relations, management consulting and corporate communications. For this reason it is important to start early in the degree program to gain practical work experience in relevant organisations. In this way students can promote themselves as competent professionals in practice and make important professional contacts. The likelihood of finding a good position is definitely heightened if the student is flexible when it comes to commuting or even moving abroad.
