    Overview

    Overview

    The purpose of the BA Content, Media & Film Production course is to inspire the next generation of creative screen entrepreneurs, equipping them with the knowledge, critical thinking skills, professional skills, and the attitude to deliver a range of filmed projects to their intended audiences.

    This course challenges you to create branded content, viral videos, fictional tv series, and social impact filmmaking, as well as skills to navigate the modern media environment through digital literacy and data, social media analytics, and creative entrepreneurship.

    This course is offered through our partnership with the University of West London. UK students on this course may be eligible for the maximum Tuition Fee Loan amount, which covers the full tuition fee. Please check the Fees & Finance section for more information.

     

    Empower students to produce dynamic screen content through industry-relevant coursework that entertains, informs, explores, educates, and challenges audiences across a range of media platforms.
    Facilitate the application of key techniques and creative approaches, cultivating a critical understanding of the relationship between the concepts, conventions, and theories that support/underpin students’ practical work.
    Teach a wide range of creative, technical, and editorial skills associated with all aspects of screen production, including film, TV, online/social media, advertising/branding, and gaming/VR.
    Promote awareness of contemporary ethical, social, political, and commercial considerations associated with the exhibition of screen content across an array of platforms.

    Requirements

    Entry Requirements

    If you are an international student, applicants should check that the qualifications they hold are recognised in the UK. Ecctis is the UK’s national agency responsible for providing qualification information to individuals from outside of the UK who wish to work, study, or train within the UK.

    Applicants with overseas qualifications can contact Ecctis at +44 (0)330 912 0040. We recommend applicants who are unsure if their qualifications meet the academic criteria submit their application, and we will then be able to make a full assessment.

    International students who require a visa to study in the UK are advised to apply as soon as possible in order to obtain a Confirmation of Acceptance to Study for their visa application in time for their course start date.

    However, all other Undergraduate courses are open to all students who meet the relevant language and admissions requirements. Please get in touch with our Admissions Team, who can advise you on your application.

    MetFilm School is one of Europe’s largest film schools. Based at Ealing Studios, we deliver undergraduate programmes in practical film, television and online production, alongside specialist postgraduate programmes in Screenwriting, Cinematography, Producing, Directing and Post Production, and numerous short courses for some 350 students across our London and Berlin campuses. Our educational philosophy is defined by the unique and multiple ways in which we bring education and the creative industries together through pedagogy, production and partnerships. We are currently looking for new tutors with a proven track record in TV, film and online formats to teach our expanding and innovative curriculum. We are currently recruiting tutors who combine teaching and professional experience in the following areas;

    As part of your UCAS application, applicants will need to supply the following information:

    • Details of their chosen MetFilm School programme
    • Education and employment history
    • A personal statement
    • Contact details of a reference

    UCAS applications must also satisfy the UCAS points for each course, either as predicted grades or as completed qualifications. Find the appropriate UCAS points below.

    In the event that UCAS applications are not satisfactory, the Admissions Team may request further evidence to support applicant suitability, such as a portfolio of work.

    As part of your application, you will need to supply the following information:

    • A completed MetFilm School application form. This includes a personal statement of 500 words, an important part of the School’s selection process.
    • A copy of the applicant’s passport. This should clearly show the picture page and passport number.
    • (Optional): A CV which is up to date, including a full educational history and all other work or relevant experience.
    • (Optional): A portfolio, including scripts, photography, artwork, films, etc.
