The course is for those who are already qualified as counsellors. It allows learners to update their skills and knowledge. It also helps learners to access work in Coleg Sir Gar areas such as using cognitive behaviour therapy; trauma work; working with young people, Group work and couples counselling and other subjects. It will be valuable if the future regulation of counselling requires qualified counsellors to have a first degree in counselling.
