This degree programme is an opportunity to study both Criminology and Sociology within an interdisciplinary social sciences context.
This programme combines Criminology, the field of study which focuses on criminalisation, victimisation and social responses to crime and disorder, with Sociology, the study of human life as found in groups, institutions and societies.
Teaching draws on a range of social science perspectives and offers you the chance to explore sociological and political approaches to crime and its control along with developing the critical tools necessary for handling the analysis of all aspects of social conduct, from face-to-face interactions to how economic forces shape and are shaped by global society.
