Diploma in Management and Leadership, CMI Level 4

The course will be of interest to anyone who wishes to develop their career as a manager or to improve their existing skills and knowledge. Students may already be working as a junior manager/team leader, or may aspire to such a role. The course is designed to use the experience of students to enrich the learning and to allow students to apply the learning from the course directly to their own experience in the workplace.

Delivered part-time, using a mix of face-to-face and online learning, the course is designed to fit around the commitments of full-time employment. Students can enrol on the full Diploma (six units) or can choose to complete just the Award (one unit) or Certificate (two units).

GCSE Grade C/4 English or equivalent Level 2 qualification. GCSE Maths grade C/4 or equivalent Level 2 qualification is desirable.

A relevant Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience from employment

Where English is not an applicant's first language, they will be expected to possess an IELTS band score of 6.0 (with no less than 5.5 in any one element) or a recognised English language Level 2 qualification. Alternatively, they may complete the College's English diagnostic assessment.

Applicants who do not have the qualifications specified above but who hold alternative qualifications and/or experience demonstrating appropriate knowledge and skills at Level 3 may be admitted to the programme following an interview.

CMI Level 4 Diploma in Management and Leadership CMI Level 4 Certificate in Management and Leadership CMI Level 4 Award in Management and Leadership

The CMI Level 4 Diploma in Management and Leadership will provide students with the knowledge and skills to develop their career in management. Students may already be in a junior management role, or their may aspire to develop their career in that way. Students will have Affiliate Membership of the CMI for the duration of their studies, with the opportunity to continue this individually after the course.

Upon completion of the course, students will have the necessary knowledge and skills to add immediate value to their current or future employer in a management role. Students may also choose to continue their studies by completing the CMI Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership, which can lead to Chartered Manager status.
