Our faculty are theatre-makers, performance artists, theatre historians and performance theorists. They are experts in diverse interdisciplinary approaches to the study of drama, theatre and performance.

Masters degree requirementYou’re normally expected to have the equivalent of a UK Masters degree, which will mean having completed some academic study beyond your Bachelors degree.Undergraduate degree requirementBachelors degree with a CGPA of 3.5/5.0 or 3/4.0.Subject-specific requirementsYour Masters-level qualification should be in a drama-related subject or a subject relevant to your chosen area of research. You should also show evidence of substantial research and/or evidence of professional performance-related experience. Your undergraduate degree-level qualification should be in drama, performance or theatre studies. You may also be considered for the degree if you have other professional qualifications or experience of equivalent standing.Please noteOur entry requirements are guidelines and we assess all applications on a case-by-case basis.

IELTS (Academic)

Advanced level (7.0 overall, including at least 6.5 in each component).

IELTS scores are valid for two years from the test date. You cannot combine scores from more than one sitting of the test. Your score must be valid when you begin your Sussex course. Find out more about IELTS
