    Course overview

    The Earth Sciences Research MSc facilitates independent research. Our research groups focus on the following themes: palaeobiology, palaeoclimatology, plate tectonics and volcanic processes.

    Focus is on independent research with minimal taught content. Training depends on supervisory capacity and research group interests. Submit a well-formulated proposal, followed by an interview. Additional bench fees or lab costs may apply.

    Our Earth Sciences Research MSc allows you to undertake research across a wide range of topics. Our research groups focus on the following themes: palaeobiology, palaeoclimatology, plate tectonics and volcanic processes

    Requirements

    Entry Requirements

    Applicants for postgraduate research programmes should hold a Bachelors degree and a Masters degree, with a GPA of 3.0/4.0 or 75% from a recognised institution to be considered. Applicants with lower grades than this may be considered on an individual basis.

    The employment record for our Earth Science masters course are excellent.
