Emerging Digital Technologies MSc

• The UCL Centre for Blockchain Technologies has created this programme. This multidisciplinary research centre focuses on how blockchain and other emerging technologies are impacting the world’s socio-economic systems.
• The UCL Centre for Blockchain Technologies leverages numerous partnerships with some of the largest technology companies in the world. These relationships exist, for instance, with Fidelity, Ripple, State Street, Natwest, Santander, R3, UN, Oracle, DXC Technology and many other firms. It will also utilise its expertise in blockchain technology to create further blockchain modules in the future and make these available to the entire Computer Science department and others.
• UCL received the highest percentage (96%) for quality of research in Computer Science and Informatics in the UK's most recent Research Excellence Framework (REF2014).
• Over the years, the three most relevant university rankings (QS, THE, ARWU) have consistently classified UCL among the top 5 universities in Europe and the top 20 universities in the world.
• London is a global financial centre and technology hub. Students of the MSc Emerging Digital Technologies programme will benefit from proximity to top technology companies, entrepreneurial projects and practitioners in central London.

Any student who is not a national of a UK Home Office majority English-speaking country is required to provide recent evidence regarding their command of spoken and written English.

The required evidence should, if possible, by included with the complete application. If either unsatisfactory or no evidence of English language proficiency has been provided with the application, admission will be conditional upon the provision of such evidence. This condition will be clearly indicated on the offer letter and must be fulfilled before enrolment at UCL.

2. Completed a minimum of 18 months of work experience in a country that UCL considers to be "majority English-speaking", no more than two years prior to the proposed date of enrolment.

3. Recently obtained acceptable English language qualification or test result. The qualification or test result must have been awarded no more than two years prior to the proposed start date of enrolment or the summer two year prior to the intended start date for qualifications taken as part of the school curriculum e.g. GCSE English.
