Entry Requirements
You should have a four-year bachelors degree.
English Program Requirements
You need to have a recognised English language qualification to study at Manchester Metropolitan.
The score required will vary depending on the qualification and the area of study you have chosen. If you hold an offer of a place from the University, your offer will give you the specific requirements for your course.
Typical International English Language Testing System (IELTS) requirements are:
- 6.0 (no less than 5.5 in any section) or equivalent for undergraduate courses
- 6.5 (no less than 5.5 in any section) or equivalent for postgraduate courses

In order to produce these strategists, the course aligns itself with successful and forward-thinking businesses and professionals, working collaboratively to produce high-quality graduates who progress quickly within their career.
Students will develop employability skills by engaging in activities and scenarios developed collaboratively with industry partners, replicating external recruitment processes for their chosen career. Students will be given the opportunity to engage in additional activities from industry professionals in the form of guest lectures, company talks and visits to external organisations.

Please note, some professional courses have different application procedures which are explained within the course information in our online prospectus.
Read the guidance notes on the application form carefully and provide the necessary documents to help speed up your application. Standard supporting documents include:
- copies of your academic transcripts and graduation certificates
- two references, one of which must be an academic reference
- your personal statement
- evidence of your English language proficiency
Some courses will have additional application requirements so check the individual course entries on our online prospectus. Art and design applicants are usually required to submit a link to their digital portfolio.
Please be aware the University cannot make a decision on your application without the academic transcript for your highest qualification. An interim transcript is acceptable if the qualification is not yet complete.
There is no deadline for applications to our postgraduate programmes, however we recommend you apply as early as possible to allow for processing of applications and visas.

2. Accept your offer
If you have applied directly
We try to make a decision about your application within five working days, but sometimes it may take longer.
If you apply during the summer it may take longer so we advise you to apply as early as possible.
If your application is successful, we will email your offer letter to you. It is important that you provide us with your current email address. Your offer letter will tell you if you need to obtain an ATAS Certificate.
If you applied using our online application service, please log into your account to accept your offer. Or, email [email protected] to confirm that you would like to accept your offer.
What type of offer will you receive?
If you have already met all of the entry requirements for your course we can make you an unconditional offer.

4. Pay your deposit
If you have accepted your offer to study at Manchester Metropolitan, you must pay a tuition fee deposit to secure your place.
The deposit is first of your tuition fee payments. It is deducted from your total tuition fees.
