Graduate Diploma in Advanced Social Work

About the course The Graduate Diploma in Advanced Social Work involves two compulsory units and a choice from a range of other advanced social work units, depending on availability. The course is open to social work graduates with a minimum of two years' experience as a professional social worker. Areas available for study include family-based practice, community and statutory practice, gender and cultural issues, issues of disability, as well as management. The Graduate Diploma in Advanced Social Work is a one-year full-time course, or up to four years part time.

Admission Requirements To be considered for admission to this course an applicant must have—(a) a relevant bachelor's degree or graduate certificate1, or an equivalent qualification, as recognised by UWA; and(b) at least two years of experience as a professionally qualified social worker.1A relevant graduate certificate includes a Graduate Certificate in Social Work, Graduate Certificate in Child Protection Practice, and Graduate Certificate in Mental Health Practice.
