Explore the processes and theory behind digital transformation and position yourself as a digital media practitioner with the Graduate Certificate in Digital Media.
When you study with us, you'll benefit from a curriculum that is flexible and regularly updated. Our course content is informed by a panel of representatives from industry and government, who examine recent developments in app creation, game production, search engine optimisation, content strategy and social network analytics and advise us on current best practice.
Focusing on user experience design (UX), you'll find out about the latest industry methods and practices.
You will exit the course with a portfolio of work (including examples of user journeys and user testing processes) to show potential employers. You will also have the opportunity to undertake a placement or internship within the program to further develop your industry skills.

On successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Create digital media projects, including visual and audio design elements, motion graphics and animation, for a range of professional contexts
- Report and argue processes for digital media transformation
- Analyse and critically review a range of data sources to assess and critically review projects and understand a context
- Exemplify digital media industry project management processes with a high level of personal autonomy and accountability
- Collaborate with others, as a leader or a team, to implement co-design and co-creation tools
- Communicate the potential and shortcomings of technology to justify and interpret practical and theoretical propositions, methodologies, conclusions and professional decisions to a range of audiences
This graduate diploma is the second of three courses, following the Graduate Certificate in Digital Media, that make up the Masters of Digital Media. Completing one stage gives you credit towards the next. You can choose to exit at the graduate certificate or graduate diploma level. You can also enrol directly in the Master of Digital Media course.
An admission requirement for this course is a bachelor degree in any discipline. Applicants with a bachelor degree in the area of Digital Media can receive six months' credit.
Students studying Digital Media can now bring their children, of all ages, to class.
The Kids in Class program offers students four kid-friendly tutorials for every unit they study. The remainder of units can be completed online, with the option to attend tutorials in person. Participating units are:
