About
The Master of Industrial Technology and Operations is a 10-course professional masters degree that provides individuals with a broad knowledge of industrial technologies and operational activities, as well as the managerial and communication skills required to effectively manage operations, personnel, and resources in a competitive, performance-oriented environment. The curriculum focuses on functional activities, utilization of current and emerging technologies, and the development of critical thinking and innovative problem-solving abilities. In-depth study of industry-specific topics is achieved through completion of an industrial specialization in one of five areas: Construction Technology, Facilities Management, Industrial Sustainability, Manufacturing Technology, or Supply Chain Management. The program is a STEM degree that allows students to pursue a program of study suited to their professional interests and career objectives.

Entry Requirements
The Master of Industrial Technology and Operations is suitable for both engineering and non-engineering students. Applicants must hold a four-year bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Students with a GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale can be admitted unconditionally. Students with a GPA of 2.5/4.0 can be admitted contingent upon their achieving a 3.3 GPA or better in the first three courses taken at Illinois Tech.
Completion of the GRE is required for applicants who have completed an undergraduate degree outside of the United States. The minimum required GRE scores are 2.5 for analytical writing and a combined score of 292. Applicants from countries where English is not the primary language of instruction must submit TOEFL, PTE, or IELTS scores. Read more here (***with link to: ).***

English Program Requirements
International students who fit into any of the following categories will be considered to have met the requirement:
- Residents of a country where English is the only official language and who is a native English speaker
- Graduates of U.S. high schools
- Completed the equivalent of Iowa State’s English 150 or 250 with a grade of B or better at an accredited U.S. 2 year or 4 year college or university.
CONDITIONAL ADMISSION
If you meet all admission requirements but do not meet our English proficiency requirements, Iowa State offers conditional admission to attend our Intensive English and Orientation Program (IEOP). If you would like to enroll in IEOP, on the application choose "I would like to enroll in Iowa State’s IEOP program before I begin the academic study.”
