Qualified students in the interior architecture program may consider a course of study that will give them advanced placement in the Master of Landscape Architecture degree program. Completing this path allows Bachelor of Science in Interior Architecture graduates to gain advanced standing in the graduate landscape architecture program, satisfying degree requirements in two years rather than three. Requirements for undergraduate interior architecture students pursuing this degree path:
- The student must meet with directors from both the interior architecture and the graduate landscape architecture programs during their third year, or earlier.
- The student must have an earned minimum cumulative GPA of at least 3.0
- The student must complete the following requirements before entering the Master of Landscape Architecture program with advanced placement.
- GEOL 590 – Urban Ecology
- LAR 421 - Design Communication I
- LAR 422 - Design Communication II
- LAR 487 - Contemporary Landscape Architecture
- LAR 552 – Design Studio II
The student must also follow the normal procedure and deadline for admission to the Graduate School and to the Master of Landscape Architecture program in the College of Architecture and Design.
