INTERNATIONAL ECONOMY

Masters Degree Program without thesis in International Economy is a 90 ECTS credit program with a duration of 1,5 academic years and with 3 30-ECTS semesters. The regular program consists of 10 courses of 30 local credits and a term Project. The institute, upon the request of the program director, may require the prospective student to take additional courses if his/her background is not seen fit to follow the program.

From 1983, Turkey has been developing foreign affairs. And from 1994, Turkey is a member of Customs Union with EU. The globalization has got an important effect in our economy. Due to that, our exportation which was 2,5 billion $ in 1980 has exceeded 107 billion $ by the year 2007. By the same end of the year our importation has exceeded 170 billion $. For these reasons our foreign trade has 1/3 overcome upon GSMH. In the same period our current deficit is 38 milliard $ and our foreign trade deficit is about 65 milliard $. EU and membership process in customs union play an important role on our foreign trade. The aim of this program is to have the historical examination of dynamics and an international economical view, and the developing of national economy by the existence of the world economy; open finance and capital markets, open world trade and to focus on regional integration with an economical, political, technological, and social perspective are the aims of the program.

2. Turkish translation of Undergraduate diploma and transcript
3. Notarization of translated Undergraduate diploma and transcript from Notary in Turkey or Turkish Embassy in your country
4. Health Insurance for one year (compulsory– You will make your insurance paperwork in J Block with International Students and Staff Affairs.  Insurance Costs between 400,00 to 600,00 TRL)

1. Passport photograph
2. Undergraduate diploma (a copy translated to Turkish or English)
3. Undergraduate transcript (a copy translated to Turkish or English)
4. Photocopy of the relevant pages of your passport
5. A cumulative GPA of 2,5 (on a 4,0) or equivalent
6. For English degree program applicants: TOEFL score -66 points (If English is not the   first/      official language of the country). If students do not have TOEFL then he/ she has to qualify English Proficiency Exam, which will be held in IAU. Dates will be mentioned at http://int.aydin.edu.tr .

9. If you do not know Turkish then Apply for Turkish Language Program first at tomer.aydin.edu.tr, as without having Turkish Language visa students will not be registered to TÖMER.
