    Dal’s two-year Managed Landscapes diploma program at the Faculty of Agriculture in Truro gives you hands-on experience for an exciting and fulfilling career in landscape horticulture and management. The program offers skills-based training, combined with an enriched theoretical foundation, helping you develop skills sought by the industry.

    The diploma is a fully approved Certified Horticultural Technician integrated educational program recognized by the International Certification Council (ICC) and the Certification Committee of the Canadian Nursery Landscape Association (CNLA). Graduates can apply for the CNLA’s Landscape Horticulture Certification program.

    Minimum admission requirements

    To be considered for admission to this program, you must meet minimum academic criteria:

    1. Completion of secondary school (Grade 12)
    2. Achievement of the minimum average for your program of choice.
    3. Completion of Grade 12 English (or equivalent course).

    Admission to many Dalhousie programs is competitive. This means that meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee admission.

    Minimum score: Overall: 90, Bands: 20

    Students who successfully complete the Diploma in Technology Managed Landscapes with a cumulative average of at least 2.0 are eligible for admission to the two-year Bachelor of Technology Environmental Landscape Horticulture program.
