Managing Data and Information (BMgmt)

Dalhousie’s Bachelor of Management program starts by giving students a foundation in business and management, helping them develop the skills they need to organize and lead teams and to respond to internal and external pressures.  

Students who pursue a major in Managing Data and Information will learn how organizations leverage technology to create, store, manage, analyze, and share data and information to make effective decisions. You will use analytics to create knowledge from raw data and apply best practices in the use of information technology and systems to support decision-making.

Program-specific admission requirements

• Minimum overall average: 75%   

• Academic English 12   

• Academic Math 12   

• Three additional academic subjects

Our alumni work in a wide variety of information management-related roles across a diverse range of sectors, including for-profit, not-for-profit, and government, both in Canada and internationally.

You can continue your studies with a master’s degree in areas like information management; public administration; or resource and environmental management.  

Bachelor of Management graduates with a Managing Data and Information major who go on to a Masters of Information degree may be able to reduce their MI degree requirements by 2 half-credit courses.
