    An overview of the program and its main subjects:

    The department offers two tracks for awarding a master's degree in Islamic Theology (dissertation or comprehensive exam): The two tracks consist of compulsory and optional subjects that aim to introduce the student to the main themes of theological frameworks in Islam on God, predestination/free will, prophetology, and resurrection in the light of Islamic schools and sects, which also would include comparative religions, contemporary intellectual traditions, philosophy, logic, research methodology, and other complementary topics.​

    Program vision:

    Qualifying graduates specialized in Islamic Theology and well-versed in the fields necessary for understanding it such as logic and philosophy.

    Program mission:

    Creating a safe scientific environment that serves students of Islamic Theology and keeps pace with new developments and curricula related to it.

    Program goals:

    1. Qualifying a generation of specialists in Islamic theology who are capable of developing and teaching it.
    2. Seeking to improve educational performance in theological sciences.
    3. Serving the local, Arab and Islamic community by preparing qualified staff.

    Entrance Requirements:
    Students are admitted to the program after they pass the higher secondary exam (Tawjihi) held by the Ministry of Education and according to the grade requirements set by the Higher Education Council/ Unified Acceptance Coordination Unit, and this is in accordance with the Bylaws and Regulations of the University of Jordan in regular and international courses of study
