    About

    The Faculty of Society & Design offers a number of specialist postgraduate degrees in communication, international relations, TESOL (teaching English to speakers of other languages), criminology and psychology.

    The Master of Arts (Coursework) offers a more cross-disciplinary option where you can tailor your postgraduate studies to pursue your professional interests and potential career prospects, selecting from a mix of subjects different study areas.

    The program gives you an opportunity to undertake independent research in an area that is particularly relevant to you expertise. You can undertake a major thesis (Part A and B – equivalent to 40 credit points) or a smaller research project (10 credit points) plus 3 other general electives chosen from any Faculty.

    Bond’s fast-track three-semester-per-year academic schedule means you can complete the Master of Arts in just 12 months.

    Recognised 4 year Bachelor degree equivalent to an Australian Bachelor degree

    Successful completion of recognised Bachelor degree (or equivalent qualification) in either Social Sciences, Society and Culture, Education, Business and Management.

    English language proficiency requirements

    Bond's programs are taught and assessed in English, so depending on your educational background and citizenship, you may be required to provide evidence that your English language ability meets our requirements. This may include submitting results from an approved English Language Test taken in the past two years - you can see the required results for the most common approved tests below. There are other ways to demonstrate English language proficiency and gain entry into this program, including demonstrating prior study in English, or other qualifications. If your qualification does not meet the English language requirements then you will need to provide an English proficiency test for admission.

    The Master of Arts program provides students with a strong and broad set of skills essential to all professions no matter what the chosen career. A Masters within your chosen specialisation/s will give you an advantage in securing senior or executive level positions.   This program will equip students with knowledge and skills for success in both creative and corporate environments.  Students will be able to integrate contemporary theory with cutting-edge creative practice, incorporating digital technologies. They will develop critical and analytical cognitive skills, as well as the ability to consolidate and synthesise knowledge within their chosen discipline areas. Graduates will have an opportunity to learn a wide range of professional skills such as the technical and creative skills for problem-solving, the ability to craft narratives that resonate with audiences, an understanding of the market and cultural forces that drive the creative industries, a command for the technologies of new-media storytelling and the flexibility to apply their creative practice to a range of industries.   Graduates of this program will be equipped for success in both creative and corporate environments and have the ability to integrate contemporary theory with cutting-edge creative practice, incorporating digital technologies.     Content director

    Content creators are often writers or journalists with a passion for unpacking complex topics and turning them into meaningful audience-centric content. Content Director approve editorial articles, blogs, case studies and scroll-stopping social media posts, and are responsible for provoking well-researched editorial and opinion pieces for publication and amplification on social media channels in their teams. Content Directors salaries in Australia are typically advertised upwards of $110k according to Seek (2021).

    Creative director

    Creative directors are found in a variety of industries such as the advertising, graphic design, film, music, video game, fashion, or entertainment industries. Creative Director’s maintain a cohesive look and feel of a project by ensuring the visuals, messaging or interactive designs are engaging and effective. They are also responsible for establishing the budget and timeline for each project and manage a team of creative staff to create, plan and deliver a strategic vision for clients. The median salary for this role in Australia is $150k according to Seek (2021).

    Brand manager

    Brand managers are responsible for the public image and perception of a brand or business. They ensure that products and services are aligned to consumer demands, and develop and monitor marketing strategies including branding campaigns, sponsorship procurement, advertising campaigns, social media campaigns, and radio, print and television advertising campaigns. Seek (2021) projected 21 per cent job growth over the next 5 years, with a median salary of $110k.
