    Overview

    The Master of Inclusive and Specialised Education is designed for education professionals who aspire to provide leadership in inclusive and specialised education, and advocacy for children and young people with special needs.

    You'll have the opportunity to study a range of minors where you can develop expertise across a range of areas in inclusive and specialised education, or you can build a unique program of study featuring a broad selection of topics.

    Gain the creative, caring, ethical, critical thinking, problem-solving and research skills needed to analyse provisions and practices relating to children and young people with special needs. Upon graduation, you'll be equipped to design, implement and evaluate policies, programs and services relating to inclusive and specialised education.

    Master (2 year)

    Applicants must normally hold a bachelor degree or equivalent qualification in Education, Disability Studies, Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or closely related qualification.

    Master (1.5 year)

    Applicants must normally hold a bachelor degree or equivalent qualification in Education, Teaching or closely related qualification.

    English Program Requirements

    If you don’t meet our English language entry requirements and need to improve your English language proficiency, you can do so through our approved English Language Instruction Course for Overseas Students (ELICOS) providers. This means that you can attend the required English language tuition at approved ELICOS providers and gain direct entry into university without an IELTS or TOEFL test.

    All academic documentation submitted to Flinders electronically must be certified. We also require certified copies of passports for applicants from some countries. Original documentation may be submitted by post or in person, but we are unable to guarantee return of these original documents.

    Persons authorised to certify documents within Australia include:

    • a barrister or solicitor
    • a police officer
    • an employee of Australia Post
    • a Flinders International staff member
    • an official Flinders University agent.

    Persons authorised to certify documents outside Australia include:

    • the registrar of the university that issued the transcript or parchment

    • a Notary Public (excluding India and Nepal).
