    Bond’s Master of Valuation and Property Development is an industry based, accredited program aimed at anyone looking to either capitalise upon their existing property industry skills or to enter the property industry from an adjacent or completely different industry.

    Recognised internationally by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), Bond University’s Master of Valuation and Property Development opens the door to global careers in property valuation and urban development, introducing the lifecycle of property planning, financing, and management.

    The curriculum includes advanced management topics including property finance and investment, feasibility analysis, asset management and a range of property valuation subjects to develop professional knowledge and skills. You’ll examine the complex dynamics of the property market and the latest technologies used by the industry’s leading operators; all underpinned by principles of economic, social, and environmentally sustainable development.

    Recognised 4 year Bachelor degree equivalent to an Australian Bachelor degree

    4 year Bachelor degree - 4 point grading scale

    Successful completion of a recognised Bachelor degree (or equivalent qualification) in any field

    (Note - This program is not available to graduates of Bond's Bachelor of Property, students may consider either the Master of City Planning or the Master of Project Management as an alternative.)

    English language proficiency requirements

    Bond's programs are taught and assessed in English, so depending on your educational background and citizenship, you may be required to provide evidence that your English language ability meets our requirements. This may include submitting results from an approved English Language Test taken in the past two years - you can see the required results for the most common approved tests below. There are other ways to demonstrate English language proficiency and gain entry into this program, including demonstrating prior study in English, or other qualifications. If your qualification does not meet the English language requirements then you will need to provide an English proficiency test for admission.

The global property industry is affected by many challenges, including fluctuating economic conditions, innovations in finance, new regulations, and approaches to sustainability. Skilled professionals are required in all areas of real estate development, property valuation, investment, and management.

    This degree will provide you with the high-level skills required to establish leadership within the property industry and can be applied across global real estate markets. Graduates of this program will be able to offer expert, specialised cognitive and technical skills to complex property markets, which can be applied across a range of industries, both in Australia and internationally.

    Outcomes

    Portfolio/Estate Manager

    Portfolio managers are responsible for managing clients' investments and assets, including creating and managing the overall investment strategy that is appropriate for their clients' needs and risk profile. An estate manager may also be responsible for taking advantage of opportunities in the property market. Median annual salaries for these roles range between $100k - $150k, according to Seek (2024).

    Property Valuer

    Property valuers are responsible for assessing the value of residential, industrial, or commercial properties. Property valuers may also be assessors who value properties for government tax purposes. There is currently a 12.2% projected job growth in Australia for property valuers over the next five years. According to Seek (2024), the median annual salary in Australia is $105k. However, most valuation roles also operate on a base salary + commission (commission bonuses are not reflected in the annual salary figures).

    Property Developer

    Property developers purchase land, dwellings and properties and enhance them to increase their resale value. There is currently a 12.2% projected job growth in Australia for property developers over the next five years. According to Seek (2024), the median annual salary for Australian property developers is $125k.

    Valuations Manager

    A valuations manager is responsible for leading the broader valuation team and plays an essential role in developing and implementing strategic projects and urban planning. Valuations manager roles in Australia attract a median annual salary of $165k, according to Seek (2024).
