Non EU Postgraduate Entry Requirements

All Non-EU postgraduate applications are assessed on a case by case basis dependent on the application submitted and any supporting evidence provided. All postgraduate applications will need to be submitted via our application portal. You can find more information on this via our 'How to Apply' page which can be accessed via this link https://www.dcu.ie/registry/how-apply-dcu.

English Program Requirements
In the case of all applications, evidence MUST be provided of competence in the English language. The list below indicates the minimum standards in the English language, which should be met for entry to undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in DCU.
Career
DCU Business School has a long track record of producing high calibre graduates in accounting. Graduates of the MSc in International Accounting and Business will have a strong combination of technical accounting and general business skills. They will be attractive to leading international accounting firms as they can achieve generous exemptions from the globally recognised Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and Chartered Accountants Ireland. They will also be attractive to national and international employers seeking to recruit graduates who can make significant contributions to discussions and decisions that have a financial dimension, even when these graduates are employed in roles other than accounting.

Postgraduate
Apply through the Postgraduate Applications Portal. A fee of €50 applies. Make sure you read all the instructions carefully before you start your application.
The steps you need to follow
- Create Account
- Complete application form
- Submit application and pay application fee
- Upload Supplemental items (documents)
Once you have completed your application you will receive updates from the International on the progress of your application.
The deadline for postgraduate applications is July 1st in any given year.

International Foundation Programme
You may need to take a foundation course if you do not satisfy DCU’s minimum entrance requirements. Find out more about how to apply the International Foundation Programme by following this link https://advance.dcu.ie/.
Pre-sessional English programmes
If you have a conditional offer of a place at DCU, but don’t satisfy DCU’s English language requirements, you may be able to take a five-week or 10-week presessional English programme on the DCU campus. Once you successfully complete this programme, you can progress to your full-time DCU programme.
