    Course overview

    Simulation is becoming increasingly prevalent as a tool for teaching and learning in healthcare because it provides a safe environment in which you can develop clinical skills and non-technical skills via guided debriefing.

    Shape your future as a healthcare educator by being on the forthfront of stimulation training. Gain the expertise to design, develop, and facilitate impactful simulation-based learning experiences.

    Course structure

    This course will run over 12 months in a full-time-mode. There's also scope to undertake the programme on a part-time basis. While the exact content may change, here’s what you can expect to study each term.

    In the first term, you'll study the module 'Adult Learning Theory and Its Application to Multidisciplinary Healthcare Simulation Learning and Teaching'. This module will equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively use healthcare simulation technology.

    This programme is suitable for all health care professionals with an interest or involvement in delivering training and education.

    Requirements

    Entry Requirements

    Holders of a Bachelors degree of four years duration from a recognised university in the Saudi Arabia will be considered for postgraduate study. Holders of Bachelors degree will normally be expected to have achieved a GPA of 3.0/4, 3.75/5 or 75% for 2:1 equivalency or 2.8/4, 3.5/5 or 70% for 2:2 equivalency.

    Applicants for postgraduate research programmes should hold a Bachelors degree and a Masters degree, with a GPA of 3.0/4.0 or 75% from a recognised institution to be considered. Applicants with lower grades than this may be considered on an individual basis.
