Overview
This Professional Development in Health and Social Care 'top-up' degree is designed to provide a learning pathway for students who want to turn their previous studies and experience into a degree with honours. It is an opportunity to use relevant health and/or social care work experience as a foundation for academic study which is highly applied and relevant.
The modules focus on areas of quality enhancement, mentoring, leadership and evidence informed practice. We align the course content with health and social care roles and current practice priorities.
Successful completion of the degree will support student's continuous professional development, overall employability, further study at postgraduate level and career progression. The emphasis is on developinng a contextual understanding of health and social care provision and increasing the student's individual effectiveness.
