GCU Pathways

Pathway students enrol on the undergraduate BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying course at Glasgow Caledonian University. In the first two years, you will study HND Quantity Surveying at City of Glasgow College while preparing to progress to year three of the degree at GCU.

Quantity Surveying graduates enjoy excellent career prospects in building, construction and conservation.

Choose the quantity surveying college pathway if:

• you are interested in financial, legal and managerial aspects of building and property development
• you want the opportunity to study or work abroad
• you enjoy learning in a hands-on practical way
• you work best with lots of interaction from lecturing staff
• you like working towards clear goals with a sense of achievement at the end of each year of study.

Students who have sat a secondary school qualification in Saudi Arabia are not generally able to join an undergraduate programme at the University and would be required to undertake a foundation programme before joining one of our undergraduate programmes at GCU. Graduates from the course have been recruited by leading organisations in the construction and property sectors such as BAM Group, Laing O'Rourke, Lend Lease, Balfour Beatty, Turner and Townsend and Doig+Smith.
