    About

    Develop your understanding of the business of sport at all levels while developing yourself as a player.

    Study this unique degree programme developed with our delivery partner Macclesfield FC. You'll have the opportunity to enhance your knowledge of the sporting business whilst improving your skills as a player.

    Learn about the core business disciplines of management, finance, operations, strategy and economics. And how these relate to the modern sporting business environment from a national and international perspective. Our academic team are highly experienced and have working relationships with many professional sports teams and clubs. This means we can ensure that our course content is relevant and gives you the best possible start in your chosen area of the sports business world.

    We have a dedicated coaching team made up of the Universitys Head Coaches Derek Egan (Chester City and Salford) and Jade Richards (Blackburn Rovers LFC and UCLan Head Coach) and Macclesfield FCs coaching staff. This allows us to combine academic excellence with professional club relevance.

    We'll work with you to improve your ability, fitness and knowledge as a footballer. Youll also be able to hone this further by playing 30 games per season for the University. There are opportunities to progress through to U21, U23, Reserve and First Team levels of football. Alongside our partnership with Macclesfield we can support you with a range of professional placements and networking opportunities. We have links with clubs such as Everton FC, Preston North End, Blackpool FC and Burnley FC. There are also coaching opportunities and funding options for FA Level 1, FA Level 2 and UEFA B Licensed coaching football courses.

Successful completion of this programme can guarantee entry to a wide range of programmes with us.

    If you're a student wishing to study an undergraduate degree full-time with us, you should make your application through the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) anytime from early September for the following year.
