    Use your voice for those who need to be heard

    The combined degree will equip you with the capabilities needed to develop and present clear and effective narratives and arguments across written, visual, oral and multimedia form – allowing you to speak up and record the stories of those who need to be heard

    This program is the only development studies program in Australia to include economics and Aboriginal studies as core courses.

    You will build experience in different forms of media that can be used in various industries – making a real difference to communities locally and around the world.

    Eligibility for admission to this program is based on applicants meeting the minimum selection rank, or satisfying the requirements for an approved admission scheme.

    The University of Newcastle accepts a range of qualifications to determine eligibility for admission. These include, but are not limited to, Australian or overseas senior secondary qualifications (such as the HSC), prior tertiary studies, prior TAFE/VET studies, and completed enabling programs.
